How it works
- 1
Text it like you'd text a friend
Say who to call and what you want. If something is missing, Book asks you a short question.
- 2
Approve the call
Book shows the business, its number and what it plans to say. You reply YES, and nothing is dialed until you do.
- 3
Get the outcome by text
The assistant calls, handles the menu and the conversation, and texts you the confirmation, or the options if your first choice wasn't available.
What to put in your text
- Who to call: the business name and the city or street
- What you want: a table, an appointment, a refill, an order or an answer
- When it works for you, and how flexible you are
- Any detail the business is likely to ask for, such as a name for the booking
Good to know
- It tells the business it's an AI assistant if asked, and it never pretends to be a person.
- It doesn't invent information. If the business asks for something it wasn't given, it asks them whether it's needed and texts you.
- It works on regular US and Canadian business phone numbers.
- It doesn't give out a Social Security number, card number or password on a call.
Questions
What can the assistant call about?
Restaurant reservations, doctor, dentist and salon appointments, prescription refills, takeout orders and simple questions to a business. It can also wait on hold and ring you when a person answers.
Does it sound like a robot?
It speaks with a natural voice and answers in real time, but it doesn't claim to be human. If someone asks, it says it is an AI assistant.
Do I need to download anything?
No. You text Book, or use the chat on the website after you sign up.
Is Book free?
