What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your phone number and, if you provide them, your name and email. When you use Book, we collect the content of your requests, any business name, address, or phone number involved, and — because Book places real phone calls on your behalf — a transcript (and, if enabled, a recording) of those calls. If your request involves healthcare, such as a prescription refill or a medical appointment, you may give us details like your date of birth, a prescription number or medication, or insurance information. We use those only to complete that request, and we mask them in our records once the request is finished.

How we use it

We use this information to operate the service: understanding your request, looking up the business you want contacted, placing the call, and texting you the outcome. We also use it for account security, abuse prevention, and to improve how the service works.

Text messages

By signing up, you agree to receive text messages from Book related to your account and your reservation requests. Message frequency varies based on your use of the service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. Standard carrier rates apply to phone verification codes sent separately for account sign-in.

Call recording & AI disclosure

Calls Book places on your behalf are handled by an AI voice assistant, and the conversation is transcribed so we can confirm the outcome with you. The assistant speaks as the person making the request and does not announce itself, but if anyone asks whether it is an AI, it says so. We do not record the audio of calls.

Who we share it with

We share data with the service providers that make Book work: Twilio (SMS and phone calls), OpenAI (understanding your request and powering the voice assistant), Google (looking up business phone numbers), and Railway (hosting). We also give the business we call the details needed to complete your request — for example your name, a callback phone number, and, if they ask, health or identity details you provided for that request. We don't sell your personal information. Book is for people 18 and older.

Visits to this site

To see roughly how many people visit, we count page views without cookies and without storing your IP address. Each visit gets an anonymous code made from your connection and browser that changes every day, so it can't follow you from one day to the next. We keep these counts for 90 days, and we skip browsers that send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your account and request history for as long as your account is active. You can download everything we hold about you, or permanently delete your account and all of it (requests, call transcripts and messages), from your dashboard at any time. You can also ask us to do it by contacting us below, and you can stop future messages at any time by replying STOP.
