Book a doctor, dentist or salon appointment by text
Offices and salons often want a phone call, usually while you are at work. Text Book the details once; an AI assistant makes the call and texts you what was booked.
Example text“Haircut with anyone at Clip Joint on 5th Street, Saturday morning, under Alex.”
How it works
1. Text what you need
The business, the service, the day and time you want, and the name for the booking.
2. Confirm the details
Book shows you the business, its address and number, and what it will ask for. You reply YES.
3. It calls and reports back
The assistant asks for the appointment and texts you the booked time, or the options offered.
What to put in your text
- The business name and the city or street
- The service, for example a cleaning, a checkup or a haircut
- The days and times that work for you
- For a medical or dental office: whether you're a new or existing patient, and your insurance if they need it
Good to know
- Details like a date of birth, a prescription number or insurance information are used only for your request and are removed from Book's records once the request is finished.
- If the office needs something the assistant wasn't given, it doesn't guess. It asks the office whether it's required and texts you.
- Book never gives out a Social Security number or card number on a call.
Questions
- Can it book a doctor's appointment?
- Yes, if the office takes appointments by phone. The assistant can say whether you're a new or existing patient and give your insurance, if you included them. Book isn't a medical service and doesn't give medical advice.
- What if the office offers a different time?
- The assistant asks what is available, doesn't commit, and texts you the choices.
- Will it call back later if the office is closed?
- Yes. Ask it to call when they open, or at a time you choose, and it will place the call then.
